Guard Your Heart

Proverbs 4:23 NIV
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Watch what enters our thought life, and what proceeds from our lips.

When we ruminate on destructive, burdenful imaginations, these worrisome thoughts tear us down.

Let not our hearts be filled with thoughts that trouble our heart.
We cannot fight them by reasoning, but they can be replaced by meditating on His Word – the certain guarantee for a successful life (Psalms 1).

Let us be filled with His Word, being mindful of His finished work at the cross.
Jesus’s righteousness is on our side, His favour cannot help it but bless us left-right-center, all over!

If we knew how to worry, we have already learnt how to meditate, i.e. to mutter under our breath, repeatedly šŸ™‚

Try speaking these words with great gusto, ‘I am highly favoured, deeply loved and greatly blessed!’
and experience how His words can truly change our emotions and the course of our life šŸ™‚

When we look at the world, we get distressed. When we look within ourselves, we’ll be depressed. But when we look to Jesus (the Loving Father), we are at rest.
Amen! šŸ™‚
